Notice Time : 25 Mar 2022 10:05 AM
Respected Members,
As you all are aware that the GHCAA had received various complaints from its members about Notices and Summons received by them from the GST Department for payment of Service Tax. Although proper representations were made to the concerned department pointing out that Advocates and Law Firms are not liable to pay any Service Tax, yet summons were issued to Learned Advocates and Members of GHCAA. The Association therefore preferred a petition before this Hon'ble Court challenging such unwanted action on behalf of the GST Department and the Hon'ble High Court was please to protect all Advocates and Law Firms against any coercive action to be initiated against them by the GST Department. Attached is a copy of the said ad interim order for your kind perusal.
